The big red/gray scarf

Tony has finally completed his first project: a big ol' scarf. It took about a month to complete and now it's being wrapped for the holidays. Someone will be very lucky.

He didn't keep the the labels so I don't know the specifics. I do know that it is 45 sts wide (k3, p3), there are 14 red sections at 18 rows long each and 13 gray sections at 8 rows long each for a grand total of 16,110 sts (the first and last sections each have an extra row).

As for me, I finished one washcloth and have started her sister -- this time in creme with red.
I found that my problem with the cotton yarn was easily fixed when I started purling correctly (counter-clockwise, counter-clockwise) and I loosened up on the tension.
