Hizzah for one year of blogging! And to Celebrate we are having a contest. It isn't hard, I promise. To enter you must leave a comment for this posting. A random commenter will be chosen as the winner. Wheeeee! The prize will be Yarn but it has yet to be chosen. Oooh mystery yarn just in time for the holidays. The winner will be chosen from all entrants on Saturday night and will be announced on next weeks post. Odds of winning are dependant on the number of entries received. You must be 18 to enter. Good Luck!
Holiday knitting continues. Some has been posted on Ravelry. All will be revealed in January.
I have learned the magic loop for making socks. With DK weight yarn, size 4 needles, and the magic loop method, I can make a pair of socks in no time. Seriously, days instead of weeks.
This week we made a few holiday greeting cards. Thanks to Emma and especially to her sister Sara for hosting our card making party.
It's amazing what you can do with card stock, paper, stamps, stickers, beads, ink, glue, and scissors. Who knew there was crafting beyond knitting?
Until next week, thanks for playing!
Eric

Those cards are so much fun!
But scrap booking will eat your soul!
Before you know it you'll be visiting specialty paper stores and looking for 100 percent cotton block prints.
Not that I know anything about this .....
Great cards! I see you also have discovered that the craft world is more than knitting. Fun isn't it! How is the second mitten doing Tony? I love that pattern and are wondering when I can see two of them. I am enjoing to wear all my knittings now that we have cold weather and more than enough of the white stuff called snow. It looks like it never will stop falling from the sky, I wonder if someone have made a big hole up there and are shuffeling snow into it just for fun....
i love the one with the trees!!!!!
what great cards! I love the santabelly ones!
hope to see you both at knit night... I probably won't bring orchids as it's a bit chilly to have them out and about.
Happy knitblogiversay!
Happy knitblogiversary, mine is next month. Those holiday cards are just too much fun. I have tried other crafts, but I just keep coming back to knitting.
Happy anni-birthy-bloggy-day! I tried Magic Loop once and it near to drove me nutz. Congrats for mastering a new skill! Great cards, by the way -- the trees are very cool.
Hmm, all you have to do is comment, eh? Done!
Woohoo for mystery yarn! Congrats on the blogiversary.
Happy Blogiversary!!
The cards came out great.
Well, THOSE are fun cards!! Kinda takes you back to kindergarten, eh? A very good year :^)
Happy blogiversary!
The snowflake card is my favorite.
Very nice cards!!
And thanks for the contest! What nice bloggers! :)
(Holds up sign that says "Will comment for yarn".)
Me too, me too. I made cards yesterday too -- a friend made me a great quilted Christmas tree card, and I scanned it and printed some out.
Now I'm thinking for next year, I should tat a Christmas tree, scan it, and made cards.
Happy Blogiversary!!
Does handmaded card so great!
I like your cards.
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!
Can I still enter the contest even though I'm older than 18? ;-)
Happy blogiversary!!
It's so much fun to find your blog - I'm really impressed by how many different creative pursuits (knitting, cardmaking, gardening, doggie dyeing) you manage to fit in!
p.s. I posted about your contest on my knitting contest blog, WiKnit
Happy Blogiversary!
Your cards are beautiful...love them all! They are so much nicer and more thoughtful than store bought cards.
Hugs!
Happy Blogiversary!! Be very careful with that scrapbooking stuff, it steals yarn stash space! (not that I would know...)
Merry Blogiversary! It's crazy how time flies. My blog's been around for nearly 3 months now, and it feels like I just started it yesterday.
Scrapbooking should come with a warning: guaranteed to take time away from your knitting!
Happy blogiversary! I love the christmas tree card.
Happy blogiversary! I love your tree card!
Those are awesome cards. I never really got into card making, I find it easier to just buy them. Congrats on your one year blogiversary.
Happy Blogiversary! Love the cards. I'd be inspired to make some, but then I'd actually have to send them and that would involve finding addresses that aren't email and actual writing with a pen and stamps and post offices and -- altogether, it's just too much bother! So then I'd probably just keep them for myself and then I'd have more stuff hanging around my house for no particular reason and I just got rid of a TON of stuff that basically allowed me to reclaim my house, so who needs that?
Anyway, they're cute as heck-fire and I get you had fun making them, too. :)
Ho! Ho! Hey! Who you callin' a Ho, Ho?! ;)
Yay for magic loop! I don't mind using dpns, but I find I use magic loop for most things.

Congrats on your first blog birthday. I think your cards look nice for sure
The cards are beautiful! And I'm sure the mystery yarn is, too! Happy Blogiversary!
Happy one-year-blogiversary!
Congrats on the 1 year! Beautiful cards too.
Happy Blogiversary! Great blog, and wonderful cards!
Happy blogiversary!
The cards are very nice.
Watch out! the crafting bug can be a bit expensive.
Very nice cards! I have resisted any sort of scrapbooking successfully so far though, I simply do not have the budget for another hobby.
Nice to find you.
Cute cards! I also love your dinner spread! (grin) Happy/Merry blogiversary!
Congratulations on your one year blogiversary! Great job on the holiday cards, too.
Love the cards and a happy blogiversary to you!
Congratulations on this felicitous event!
Seriously, Magic Loop rocks my world too.
ANOTHER magic loop devotee--you can use those dpns for skewers at your next food event. STAY THAWED OUT!!
Happy blogverity! I have been wanting to do Magic loop, but well, don't have the time with X-mas knitting, come January, I will... hopefully....
Love the cards - really fun.
Congratulations!
(I wish I could do Magic Loop without strangling myself...)

Fun cards and celebrate!
Happy happy blogiversary.
Happy Blogaversary! You made those cards?? My God, you are entirely too crafty for me. They are beautiful though. Nice work.
Gorgeous cards! The recipients are gonna love 'em.
Happy Blogiversary!!! Those cards are super nice. I should try making cards next year. Too late for 2007.
Hope you guys are OK there in Tulsa. The morning news was all about the ice storms.
Congratulations on your blogiversary! I love the cards, though I will leave the scrapbooking to people with more time and space on their hands.
Ye gads - so much competition. I'm starting to quake!
Happy Merry! Good luck to all (actually I don't mean that at all - I want to win)
Happy Blogaversary!
I've purused a few months back on your blog, you've got alot of interesting and very humorous content. I’ll definitely check back for other posts! I found your blog by way of wiknits.
Oh by the way...NOW YOU'VE DONE IT!
Your once a week (or so) posting rhythm inspires me to believe I can do it too. I've been thinking about “Doing It” for over 8months and thinking far too much of it.
Now, I’m gonna “Just Do It”! And you've caused the scales to tip. You are the last straw in a very very very long line of straws (AKA inspirational bloggerss).
I'M GETTING A BLOG (there I said it...:)! )
Happy Anniversary. New to your blog! Came from the WIknit contest blog site. I'll be back. You are very creative. Love the santa vest card.
happy blogiversary. very cute cards.
Happy Blogiversary! I am a socks-on-two-circs guy myself but I understand the appeal of magic loop and have used it a few times.
Hope you're having decent weather where you are--we're about to be hit by the storm that's been tearing up the US...
I have been to Amy's blog and can see that you have made a comment there so I undertand that you are ok. We have been following your ice storm on the news here in Norway and I have been thinking so much about you all. I am glad you are back on the internet because that means that you are all safe and sound. Take care!
happy blogiversary!
Wow! pretty cards ... you are sooo creative!
