Holiday Knitting

The gifting:

Tony made these for his mother. They are the North Star Mittens from Knit Mittens! He used Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in Black and Tan.

I made this Branching Out Scarf from Knitty dot com with Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool for my Dad's wife, Sheila.

I made three Watchcaps from Knitting Without Tears. All are in Rowan Big Wool. One for Dad, one for my little bro, Alan, and one for his fiance, Jessica.

I made these socks for Tony's Ma, Sue. They are in the same yarn as her mittens. It is the International sock of Doom pattern. You may remember that the ISoD pattern was the very first sock pattern I used just one year ago. My technique is much improved.

Tony made these stockinette socks for his friend, Mark. They are made from Berroco Comfort so Mark will have no problem caring for them.

Tony made the Elfin Hat and Scarf set from the Interweave Knits Fall 2007, for his sister, Racheal. The yarn is Lamb's Pride Superwash worsted.

Tony also made a garter stitch scarf in wide orange and black stripes for his Ma's husband, Jay. He is an OSU fan and requested the scarf. I didn't get any pictures though.

We had a good holiday. We went to Tony's parent's, then to my Mother's, then to Dad's.

We got: an electric throw blanket; flannel sheets; clothes; shoes; a Calphalon enamel coated, cast iron dutch oven in a lovely Cabernet color; gift certificates; a Carrie Underwood CD; Favorite Socks; a paper shredder; and a car buffer.

Tony bought us a new table for the dining room and I bought us a new ceiling fan.

Now we are making plans for the New Year celebrations.

I'm making a sweater in 2008. EZ shall be my guide.

Don't party too hard!

Eric
