Oklahoma Gardening

It was gardening week for Tony and me. Together we turned, chopped, hoed, raked and de-grassed approximately 100 square feet of flower bed by hand -- that was a workout! We planted: gladiolas, elephant ears, sweet potato vine, petunias, lavender, impatiens, those orangy-yellowy pompom looking flowers that smell so good, and some low-growing greeny stuff with white flowers, some with blue flowers and some with purple flowers. Obviously: Tony is the plant person, I just dig holes. There is also a hanging basket with geraniums, a potted rosemary and a potted daisy.

And along the home-improvement line of things: Tony bought me a new ceiling fan for the bedroom. The old one had a broken light and was a bit wonky and swingy. It was both a fire hazard and a falling hazard so it was time for a change.

Not a lot of knitting to report. Tony has started some new socks with Skacel's Trampoline Stretch. I'm still working on Roza's Socks and Swallowtail.

Later y'all
Eric

I am jealous of your flowers. I can't seem to grow them (except roses). I tried lavendar for about 3 years before I gave up
